THE Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang has announced the dissolution of the Local Government Transition Implementation Committee administrations across all 17 local government areas in the state.
This decision was made public in a statement today by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere.
The governor has instructed Directors of Personnel Management to take over the administration of the council areas until elections are conducted on October 9, 2024, to fill the vacant positions.
Governor Mutfwang also lauded the chairmen of the transition committees for their commendable leadership and commitment to promoting developmental projects that have positively impacted their communities during their tenure.
He expressed his satisfaction with their achievements and encouraged them to continue providing valuable advice to foster peace and unity within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and throughout Plateau State.
The chairmen were urged to engage with their constituents to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming local government elections.
The governor reiterated his commitment to governing in an inclusive, transparent, and accountable manner that serves the interests of all citizens of Plateau State.
The transition committee was formed in June 2023 after Governor Mutfwang dissolved the previously elected local government council officials.
