JUSTICE Obiora Egwuatu has granted bail to approximately 67 minors out of the 76 arraigned for their involvement in the #EndBadGovernance protests that took place in August 2024, with each bail set at N10 million.
The minors, all under 15 years old, are required to provide a surety who must be a civil servant.
In addition, another 87 adults are currently being arraigned on similar charges.
The individuals being arraigned primarily hail from Kaduna State.
They face a ten-count charge related to alleged treason and conspiracy to commit a felony with the intent to destabilize Nigeria, in violation of Section 96 and punishable under Section 97 of the Penal Code Act.
The minors appeared malnourished, with four requiring urgent assistance as they could not stand during the court session.
