Super Falcons to take on France in top friendly

THE Super Falcons will play France in a friendly match on Saturday, November 30, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced.

The NFF confirmed the France match yesterday, days after the Super Falcons defeated Algeria 2-0 and 4-1 in friendlies in Ikenne-Remo and Lagos respectively, with a largely home-based squad under the guidance of Justine Madugu.

The game against Les Bleues will be held at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, with kick-off set for 9.30pm French time, with the Super Falcons expected to field more of their regular stars.

While France will use the game as part of their preparations for the UEFA Nations League in the spring and the 2025 European Women’s Championship in Switzerland in the summer, the Falcons will use the match to tune up for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next summer.

It is only the seventh time in their history that the Les Bleues will play in the city of Angers.

France are ranked 10th in the world by FIFA, 26 spots places Nigeria.
