THE 20-year-old estranged transgender daughter of Elon Musk, Vivian Wilson, has announced her intention to leave the United States following Donald Trump’s electoral victory.
Wilson made her announcement on Threads, voicing her unease with the political climate under Trump’s potential return to the presidency, as reported by the UK’s Daily Mail.
“I don’t see my future in the United States. I’ve been thinking this for a while, but yesterday solidified it for me. Even if he only serves four years, and even if anti-trans policies don’t come to fruition, the individuals who supported him aren’t going anywhere anytime soon,” she wrote.
Born Xavier Musk in 2004, Vivian legally changed her name and gender in April 2022 and chose to sever ties with her father by adopting her mother’s maiden name, Wilson.
In her court documents, she stated, “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
Musk, who has openly supported Trump and has fathered 12 children from three relationships, has acknowledged the fractured nature of his relationship with Vivian.
He described her as a “communist” who believes that wealth is inherently evil, claiming that he was misled into agreeing to her use of puberty blockers.
“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for Xavier. I didn’t fully grasp what was happening at the time; it occurred during COVID, and I was told that Xavier might commit suicide,” he stated.
Musk has previously referred to puberty blockers as “sterilisation drugs” and has characterized gender dysphoria as “incredibly evil,” arguing that those who promote it “should go to prison.” He expressed his feelings of loss, stating, “I lost my son… They call it ‘deadnaming’ because your son is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.”
In response to her father’s remarks, Vivian noted that he had minimal involvement in her upbringing and often criticized her for her “femininity and queerness.”
“He doesn’t know what I was like as a child because he simply wasn’t there. I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness. I’ve been reduced to a stereotype, which speaks volumes about how he views queer individuals and children in general,” she explained.
