NAPOLI are reportedly planning to raise Victor Osimhen’s wages and his transfer fee in order to fend off other clubs interested in the Nigerian.

The Super Eagles striker has become hot property across Europe this season following his most prolific campaign in which he has scored 30 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen is the top scorer in the Serie A this season with 25 goals, inspiring Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.

Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and a slew of other clubs have been linked with the 24-year-old but Napoli are keen to keep him.

Calciomercato claimed today that, with Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis not willing to let go of Osimhen, the club are preparing to offer the Nigeria international a new deal that will be much better than the current £3.9m per year he is reportedly on.

The proposed new contract is to also include a release clause of £138m.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in a €80m deal in September 2020 and has registered scored 58 goals and 14 assists in 100 appearances for the Italian club.
