Vision
Naija Times is committed to building an egalitarian society that is founded on equity, justice and respect for fundamental human rights
Mission
Naija Times stories will be factual, balanced and credible to attain the highest standards of ethical journalism
Who We Are
Naija Times has been carefully designed to be easily recognisable as a newspaper brand in the world in terms of content and character.
There are different sections in the newspaper and they include Education, Healthcare, Business & Economy, Politics, Anti-corruption & Good Governance, Technology & Innovation, Diversity, Gender Equity & Social Inclusion and Protecting Democracy & its Institutions.
Others are Climate Change, Urbanisation & the Environment; Clean & Renewable Energy, Food Security & Population Density, Unemployment & Social Tension, Health & Wellness, Lifestyle, Sport, Arts, Culture & Tourism, Entertainment and General News.
In addition, due attention is given to human angle stories, in-depth and investigative reports and cartoons among others. A generous section will be targeted at Nigerians in the diaspora. We have identified credible and resourceful Nigerians in the diaspora who are sharing their experiences in our “Diaspora File” section. We also have diverse writers, columnists and Global Brand Ambassadors.
The vision of Naija Times is to build an egalitarian society that is founded on equity, justice, and respect for fundamental human rights. We want the paper to be known for reporting stories that are factual, credible and balanced to attain the highest standards of ethical journalism.
The Editorial Advisory Board comprises distinguished professional and businesspersons, university dons, media practitioners and public policy analysts and it will be chaired by Akpandem James, a seasoned journalist and communications consultant. James and Jahman Anikulapo, a former Editor of The Guardian on Sunday, are editorial directors of Naija Times.
In reporting the news, Naija Times will take the additional step of expanding the frontiers of development journalism by using such reports to shape public policy to build strong institutions for a better society. Naija Times Editorial will be published on a weekly basis – every Monday – on topical issues relating to Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world.
Naija Times digital content will also include audio and video broadcasts. In addition, we registered Naija Times Journalism Foundation in December 2021 as the nonprofit arm of Naija Times, and Naija Times Communications (UK) Limited in January 2022 as our affiliate company in the United Kingdom.
Operations
The format of Naija Times reports will be textual, audio, video and multimedia.
