Milan set to complete €22m Pulisic deal as Tottenham sign Solomon

AC MILAN are close to completing the deal to sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, according to reports.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have sealed the signing of Manor Solomon from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer.

United States Men’s National Team forward Pulisic is about to become Milan’s fourth arrival of the summer as the clubs have agreed a deal believed to be worth around €22m in total.

Tutto Mercato Web reported today that Pulisic has agreed personal terms with last season’s UEFA Champions League semi-finalists and will undergo his medical in Milan this week.

The 24-year-old, who made 145 appearances for Chelsea and registered 26 goals and 21 assists in five years, will join Marco Sportiello, Luka Romero and his former teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Milan’s new signings.

At Tottenham, the club confirmed the arrival of Solomon on their official website today, expressing delight at the conclusion of the move.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Manor Solomon. The Israel international has agreed a deal with the Club that will run until 2028, subject to international clearance and work permit,” the club wrote.

“Manor, 23, spent his early years at local side Maccabi Petah Tikva, where he made his professional debut as a 17-year-old in November, 2016. He scored eight goals in 73 appearances for the Israeli outfit, earning himself a move to Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in January, 2019.

“Primarily operating as an inverted left-winger, Solomon made 106 appearances for Shakhtar, scoring 22 goals and winning the domestic league title on two occasions, along with Ukrainian Cup and Ukrainian Super Cup wins.”

Solomon spent last season on loan at Fulham, scoring five goals in 24 appearances in all competitions.
