AC Milan agree €15m deal for Okafor, close in on €30m Chukwueze

AC MILAN have reached agreement with Red Bull Salzburg for Noah Okafor, while they are negotiating with Villarreal for Samuel Chukwueze, according to multiple reports from Italy.

Switzerland striker with Nigerian heritage Okafor will cost the Serie A giants between €13m to €15m, Sky Sports Italy claimed today.

Okafor has agreed personal terms with AC Milan and will undergo his medical tests at the club tomorrow before the contract will be officially signed.

The striker joined Salzburg from Swiss side Basel for €11m in January 2020 and has scored 34 goals in 110 games for the Austrian side, including one against AC Milan in a Champions League group stage fixture last season.

The 23-year-old Okafor was born in Switzerland to a Swiss mother and Nigerian father, and has made 14 international appearances for the European nation, scoring two goals.

Milan are also working on a deal for Nigeria international Chukwueze as they continue to rebuild their squad.

Negotiations are reportedly at an advanced stage with Villarreal after personal terms were agreed with the 24-year-old Super Eagles winger.

Milan believe they will seal a deal for around €30m for Chukwueze as they prepare to jet off for their United States of America pre-season tour later today.

They have already signed five players this summer after selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle for around €80m: Marco Sportiello, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders.
