ERLING Haaland, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka are among the six players nominated for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Players’ Player of the Year award.
Norway striker Haaland is one of three Manchester City players on the shortlist, along with Kevin de Bruyne and John Stones.
The other player nominated is Arsenal captain Martin Ordegaard.
The 23-year-old Haaland was the top scorer in the Premier League with 36 goals last season and scored 52 in all competitions as Pep Guardiola’s side won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League and FA Cup Treble.
England forward with Nigerian heritage Saka had a brilliant campaign last season, registering 14 goals and 11 assists for Arsenal as they finished second in the Premier League, while Norway international Odegaard contributed 15 goals and seven assists.
Kane, who is now with Bayern Munich, netted scored 30 Premier League goals last season for Tottenham Hotspur, standing out despite the club’s dismal campaign.
Haaland and 21-year-old Saka are also up for the Young Player of the Year prize, along with Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Moises Caicedo, who recently left Brighton for Chelsea in a record £115m transfer deal, Brighton’s Evan Ferguson and Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey.
