TENNIS great Serena Williams and her tech entrepreneur husband Alexis Ohanian have announced the birth of their second child.
Serena, the 41-year-old 23-time Grand Slam women’s singles champion, and the 40-year-old co-founder of social media site Reddit have now welcomed their second daughter, who was born today.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” Ohanian wrote in an Instagram post in which he attached several family photos with the new baby.
“I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy
and healthy newborn girl and happy and healthy mama.”
He went on to write “Feeling grateful.”
“@serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT,” he added, meaning Greatest Mother Of All Time.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife and our daughter. I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
Serena had announced that she was expecting another baby at the Met Gala in New York in May.
The tennis legend and Ohanian married in 2017, and their first daughter Olympia Ohanian Jr. was born that same year.
Serena also shared a picture of the family with the new baby, captioning it ‘Adira River Ohanian’ with a love emoji.
