TWO Super Eagles strikers, Victor Boniface and Victor Osimhen, could be playing in England next season, according to reports.

English tabloid The Sun today linked the Nigeria internationals to Newcastle United and Liverpool respectively.

Newcastle United are reportedly weighing up a move for the 22-year-old Boniface, who has been in fine form for over one season.

He impressed at Union St Gilloise in the Belgian Pro League and the UEFA Europa League last season to earn a move to Bayer Leverkusen, where he has excelled even more.

Boniface has taken to the German Bundesliga like duck to water, registering seven goals and two assists in his first seven appearances in the league.

He has also scored one goal and made one assist in two Europa League games for the Bundesliga leaders and earned himself his first Super Eagles appearances.

Newcastle United, who have become big spenders since being taken over by Saudi Arabian owners, are reportedly keen to add Boniface to their forward line, which currently boasts Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are believed to be monitoring Osimhen’s situation at Napoli as the Nigeria striker could opt to leave at the end of the season.

Osimhen’s relationship with Serie A champions was recently marred by the recent TikTok scandal and, after months of negotiations, he is yet to sign an extension to his current contract, which expires in 2025.
