Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis has returned to Watford on a loan deal from Nottingham Forest, the second-tier English club confirmed today.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international left the Hornets in 2022 for Nottingham Forest and then got loaned to Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir last summer.
“Watford FC is delighted to announce the return of Emmanuel Dennis, with the forward agreeing a loan deal with the Hornets until the end of the season,” the Championship club announced on their official website today.
“Dennis featured 35 times for the club during the 2021/2022 Premier League season – including two appearances in the cup – scoring 10 goals and grabbing six assists before moving to Nottingham Forest in August 2022, having last featured for the Hornets in the opening two Championship fixtures of the season.”
Dennis spent the first half of this season on loan with Istanbul Basaksehir, but had a hard time in Turkey, making only eight Super Lig appearances and not registering a goal or assist.
He will see out the rest of the 2023/2024 campaign in the familiar surroundings of Vicarage Road as Watford seek promotion to the English Premier League.
Watford are currently ninth in the Championship with 40 points from 28 games, three points adrift of the promotion play-offs spots.
