KEVIN De Bruyne scored twice today to inspire Manchester City to a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, taking his tally for the club to 100 goals.

The win kept alive the champions’ hopes of retaining their English Premier League title, taking them level with Liverpool at the top of the table having played one game more than the leaders.

City had to come from behind to earn the three points after Jean-Philippe Mateta gave the hosts a third minute lead on the breakaway.

De Bruyne led City’s response, pulling them level with a superb strike from outside the box in the 13th minute.

Youngster Rico Lewis netted Manchester City’s second goal two minutes into the second half, firing home from close range.

City were utterly dominant, hogging over 70 percent of the possession, and they extended their lead in the 66th minute when Erling Haaland applied the finishing touch to a slick move to end his goal drought.

De Bruyne made it 4-1 in the 70th minute with his 100th Manchester City goal, reaching the milestone in his 372nd appearance for the club.

Substitute Odsonne Edouard pulled one back for Crystal Palace as they stay in 14th place in the table, eight points clear of the relegation zone.
