ARNE Slot has announced that he will be joining Liverpool at the end of the season from Feyenoord to replace Jurgen Klopp as manager.
The Dutchman was reported two weeks ago to have reached agreement to take over from Klopp, who is leaving Liverpool after nine successful years in charge of the English giants.
Now Slot has signed the papers and Feyenoord have agreed to let him leave the club for the English Premier League.
“I can confirm that I will be new Liverpool manager next season,” Arne Slot said today as he prepared for his last game as Feyenoord boss, a Dutch Eredivisie clash at home with Excelsior.
Slot, 45, joined Feyenoord in 2021 and led them to the Dutch Eredivisie title last season and steered them to the final of the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022.
He won the Dutch Cup with Feyenoord this season and they will finish second in the Eredivisie, earning a UEFA Champions League ticket.
