THE Super Falcons of Nigeria are still the highest ranked team in the FIFA women’s ranking as their position remains unchanged overall.

Globally, world champions Spain are the top team, keeping their place in the latest ranking released today.

The Super Falcons, who have qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics, are 36th in the world in the latest ranking, the same position they held at the last release in March.

The nine-time African champions are No.1 on the continent, followed by South Africa (51st in the world), Morocco (59th), Olympic-bound Zambia (64th) and Ghana (65th).

World No.1 Spain are followed by France, who rose one spot to second, leaving England in third.

Germany are fourth, moving past the United States of America, who have continued to slip in the past few months.

Further down, Sweden (sixth) and Japan (seventh) maintain their positions. Canada (eighth, up one spot), Brazil (ninth, up one) and Korea DPR (10th, up 1) all gain a spot, thereby easing the Netherlands (11th, down three) out of the top ten for the first time in seven years.
