GLOBAL streaming platform Netflix will be showing highlights of the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after sealing a deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

“The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has reached an agreement for TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Highlights Show on Netflix to be licensed by Netflix for audiences in the Sub-Saharan African (SSA) region,” the continental governing body said in a statement today.

“The Netflix ‘Daily Highlights’ show marks CAF’s first major appearance on a global streaming platform – taking CAF and African Football to new audiences.

“The 2025 edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco is now the most successful AFCON ever – reaching audiences in over 180 territories and surpassing the success of records set during the 2023 edition in Cote d’Ivoire.”

According to CAF, Netflix’s ‘AFCON Daily Show’ captures daily highlights from the 2025 AFCON and is now available to Netflix subscribers across Sub-Saharan Africa.

“This arrangement aligns with CAF’s distribution strategy, which focuses on creating broader access to African football while positioning it as a globally attractive product,” the organisation added.

“By enabling content to reach streaming platforms, CAF is opening up exciting new markets for future events.

“The development takes African football to new audiences and showcases its lifestyle and cultural appeal.”

The Morocco 2025 AFCON reaches the semi-final stage today, with Senegal facing Egypt in Tangier from 6pm and the Super Eagles of Nigeria battling the hosts in Rabat from 9pm.
