Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen on Thursday announced the appointment of Hon. Fred Agbedi (PDP, Bayelsa) as the new Minority leader of the House.
The Speaker said at plenary that the emergence of Agbedi as Minority Leader was a unanimous decision by the members of the Minority caucus.
In their letter read by the Speaker, the caucus said they were appointing Agbedi who is one of the most experienced members in the House by consensus to occupy the position vacated by Kingsley Chinda who resigned the position to contest the Governorship election on the platform of the APC.
