SOUTH AFRICA international midfielder Jayden Adams has died, according to reports from the country.

The Mamelodi Sundowns star died today, just days after representing his country at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the round of 32.

Adams sadly passed away at the young age of 25.

Adams recently played a key role in Mamelodi Sundowns’ successful CAF Champions League campaign this year before featuring for Bafana Bafana at the World Cup, which is still ongoing in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

According to South African tabloid Sunday World, Adams only two weeks ago lost his 72-year-old grandmother Marianna Adams, the day before featuring for Bafana Bafana in their World Cup match against Czechia.

The cause of Adams’ death has not been determined officially, but Sunday World reported that he allegedly took his own life this morning at his home in Stellenbosch.
