EBONYI: Police station attack leaves 3 officers dead

GUNMEN invaded the Onueke Police Station in the Ezza Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, killing three officers with two others injured. 

The Ebonyi State Police Command made this known on Monday through its spokesperson, DSP Loveth Odah, saying that investigations are underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

The gunmen reportedly invaded the police station on Friday and opened fire on the officers on duty killing two, and injuring two. A woman living in the premises of the station was also killed.

The DSP stated that the dead bodies of those killed had been deposited at the mortuary.

She also assured that normalcy has since returned to the area, while investigations has begun.

DSP Odah further stated that arrests had been made on the case, and that the Police were also after the others still at large.
