BEAUTY expert and CEO of Pizzazz Beauty creations, Damilola Togunbo, shares with us some DIY tips of getting a perfect well toned and moisturized skin using natural toner, cleanser and moisturiser.
Skin care requires regular cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Cleansing here means use of gentle deep cleansers, mild exfoliants or other safe natural products you decide to choose or recommend for you.
However, Face toners play a crucial role in ensuring a healthy and clean facial appearance. Some toners contain powerful humectants that can plump up dehydrated skin and get you rid of dull complexion.
It can be used for cleaning your face, in and around your ears, and to reduce oil deposits on your neck, chest, back and more.
You should apply toner right after washing your face. Toner helps break down any residue that’s left after cleansing. It leaves your face extra clean so it can absorb whatever products come next.
There’s no need to rinse off toner. In fact, it works better if it’s allowed to absorb.
It would be a nice thing to follow up with a good face moisturizer
Here are some ingredients that are safe and good to be in your face toner, however, the producer may have other combinations but make sure you confirm it is mild enough so as not to strip off your Skin nutrient.
1. Witch hazel (alcohol free)
2. Rose water (infused rose petals:red, pink,white)
3. Glycerin (fragrance free)

This is a simple toner DIY for combination skin
If you have combination skin, which means it’s dry in some places and oily in others, especially the Tzone, you may have trouble finding skin care products that fit your needs.
Cranberry and hibiscus have anti-aging properties. When combined with rose water and witch hazel, it makes soothing toner that won’t worsen oiliness or make your skin drier.
– 2 tbsp. cranberry/ hibiscus juice
– 2 tbsp. rose water
– [ ] 1/2 cup witch hazel
Note: kindly follow up with non-comedogenic oil or moisturizer.
Avoid alkaline based cleansers.
