The Kwara State Police Command has confirmed arresting three suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity for the alleged abduction and murder of a student of the state Polytechnic, Ilorin.
It also noted that it is intensifying efforts to apprehend nine others now on the run.
The command explained that the arrests followed an investigation by the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) operatives who uncovered the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the victim.
In a statement, the command’s spokesperson, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said the suspects were arrested during coordinated tactical operations last Monday at marked cult hideouts across the Ilorin metropolis.
