‘God has a plan, I’m following his plans’ – Sound Sultan’s last call leaks

POPULAR singer-activist Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, died today of Angioimmunoblastic T- Cell Lymphoma in the United States of America.

The 44-year-old ‘Jagbajantis’ crooner lost his battle with throat cancer.

However, in a leaked conversation with comedian Yaw, Sound Sultan could be heard saying he was only following the will of God as he never expected to take the sudden trip to America because of his health.

“God has a plan, I know that strongly. So, I just dey follow am. This trip no be my plans. If you see the way doctors dey tell me say I dey respond to treatment. Chemo don start, everything. I thank God. I no dey stress myself,” Sound Sultan said in a telephone call.

According to information making rounds, the artist, who is famous for his song ‘Mathematics’ had already commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in USA before he passed on today, Sunday, July 11.

Sound Sultan’s career in show business started in the 1990s, when he hosted shows to raise money for studio sessions. He is survived by his wife, three children and siblings, including older brother, the dancehall reggae star, Baba Dee, real name, Dare Fasasi.
