Popular Nigerian social media personality, content creator, and relationship commentator, Susan, widely known as Su.Unusual, has announced the end of her marriage, sharing an emotional reflection on the circumstances that led to the separation.
Su.Unusual, who built a significant online following through her commentary on relationships and gender dynamics, revealed the development in a post shared on her social media platforms.
The content creator is known for expressing views largely supportive of men while frequently criticising certain behaviours among women. She has also been a vocal supporter of relationship commentator GehGeh, whose teachings encourage men to be cautious about spending on women.
In her statement, Su.Unusual admitted that she devoted much of her energy to becoming what she described as the “perfect wife” while paying less attention to choosing the right life partner.
Reflecting on her experience, she disclosed that despite repeatedly telling herself she deserved better emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and financially, she remained in a situation that ultimately proved unsustainable.
According to her, the marriage was marked by repeated efforts on her part to make things work, including numerous apologies, pleas, and emotional struggles.
“I focused so much on being the perfect wife any man would desire and paid little attention to finding the right man,” she wrote. “I begged too many times. I apologised too many times. I cried too many times.”
The social media influencer further acknowledged that she made the wrong choice and is now living with the consequences.
“My choice was wrong, and now I live with the consequences of my decision. My marriage ended,” she stated.
Despite the setback, Su.Unusual expressed optimism about the future, announcing plans to return her focus to her career and personal growth.
She concluded her message by stating that she would be returning to work and focusing on building a larger brand, and thanked her supporters for standing by her through the difficult period.
