There were 18 players in the Super Eagles camp in Constantine for the friendly against Algeria as at late last night.
The match between the African giants is scheduled for Oran next Tuesday.
Among the players in camp are in-form Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi, Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi, Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka and Watford pair of defender William Troost-Ekong and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, all based in England.
Croatia-based Chidozie Awaziem was the first player to arrive in the eastern Algerian city of Constantine, which is about 700 kilometres from Oran, where the match will be held.
Also in camp are Torino of Italy full-back Ola Aina, Ajax of The Netherlands defender Calvin Bassey, Porto of Portugal left-back Zaidu Sanusi and Hoffenheim of Germany centre-back Kevin Akpoguma.
First-time invitee Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge in Belgium, France-based trio of Valentine Ozornwafor, Terem Moffi and Moses Simon, as well as Italy-based Cyriel Dessers and Germany-based Chidera Ejuke are also in Constantine.
Among the player expected to arrive today are Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, Kelechi Iheanacho of Leicester City, new invitee Godwin Saviour of Portuguese club Casa Pia and Ebube Duru of Rivers United.
Algeria and Nigeria have clashed in notable matches over years, including the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Lagos in 1980 and 10 years later in Algiers, with the host nation winning each time.
Although the Super Eagles have a better head-to-head with nine wins to Algeria’s six, the North Africans won the last two meetings between the two teams, at the 2019 AFCON semi-finals in Egypt and a 2020 friendly in Austria.
