NASARAWA: Gunmen abduct NSCDC Commander’s wife at residence

THE wife of Commander, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Deputy Commandant Apollos Dandaura has been kidnapped in Nasarawa state yesterday.

Information gathered reveals that AK-47-wielding kidnappers broke into the victim’s residence and began firing randomly to frighten nearby people before taking the victim.

The Commander’s younger brother, who works with the NSCDC, was shot during the incident in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

He is currently responding to treatment while receiving care at an unnamed hospital in Lafia.

Reports reveal that the event happened yesterday at around 8:30 p.m.

The Commander’s wife was abducted in Lafia near B. A road.

The Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Command of the NSCDC, Jerry Victor also confirmed the incidence today adding that the victim’s whereabouts were still unknown.

He said that the command had already sent troops to the area in order to save the victim’s life, and that the kidnappers still have not gotten in touch with the command or the victim’s family.
