Elections: Obi Defeats Tinubu, Atiku in Abuja

THE Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, defeated his opponents, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25th presidential polls conducted in Abuja.

Obi had a major lead in the Federal Capital Territory, winning four of the six local government areas.

Obi, who had been in the lead since Sunday, easily defeated Bwari, Kuje, Gwagwalada, and AMAC.

In the final count, the LP Candidate received 281,717 votes, while the APC received 90,912 votes.

The PDP finished in third place with 74,193 votes.
