TikTok: Victor Osimhen set to start vs Udinese despite deleting Napoli pictures on Instagram

VICTOR Osimhen is expected to be in Napoli’s starting line-up as they face Udinese in Serie A tonight even after falling out with the champions over a distasteful TikTok video.

The Super Eagles striker was the subject of a post by the official account of Napoli on the video-sharing social media app yesterday in which he was mocked for missing a penalty against Bologna over the weekend.

Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda issued a statement on social media last night and threatened to sue the club, with the player himself removing all Napoli-related pictures in his Instagram account to display his displeasure.

However, the Nigeria international, who was voted Serie A best striker last season after topping the scoring charts with 26 goals, is Napoli’s best option in attack and is still expected to start tonight alongside Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Matteo Politano.

Despite failing to score in his last three Serie A matches, Osimhen’s contribution of three goals in five Serie A fixtures is still impressive and his general play has been good.

Napoli manager Rudi Garcia has little choice than to play his best striker, as the Frenchman is already under pressure having earned just eight points in the opening five Serie A games.

Udinese are one of the four Serie A clubs who are yet to win this season, scoring only one goal in five game.

Their Nigerian forward Isaac Success is expected to play some part tonight as they seek to take advantage of the disarray in Napoli’s camp.
