TWO Nigeria internationals, Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen, had goal contributions tonight as Napoli snatched a 2-1 Serie A victory over Atalanta in Bergamo.
Kvicha Kvaratskhelia handed visitors Napoli the lead one minute before half-time and they went to the break 1-0 up.
The hosts responded eight minutes after the restart, Super Eagles forward Lookman netting the equaliser with his fourth Serie A goal of the season.
Osimhen was brought on in the 64th minute for his first bit of action since getting injured on international duty on October 13.
The Super Eagles striker took no time to make a positive impact, poking the ball to Elif Elmas to smash home the winner in the 79th minute.
It is Napoli’s first victory in all competitions in November, in Walter Mazzarri’s first game in charge since taking over from Rudi Garcia.
The win propelled champions Napoli to third spot in the Serie A table, while Atalanta are sixth.
Meanwhile, in England, Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka was in action for 90 minutes, only missing added time, as Brentford were beaten 1-0 at home by Arsenal in the English Premier League.
Substitute Kai Havertz header in the winner for the Gunners in the 89th minute to take them to the top of the standings, one point clear of champions Manchester City. Brentford are 11th.
The current Arsenal side now have the third longest unbeaten run in London derbies in Premier League history at 17 games.
