KYLIAN Mbappe has confirmed that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after months of speculation.

The 25-year-old France forward is believed to be on the verge of joining Real Madrid after tonight’s announcement ended his seven-year stay at the Ligue 1 champions.

“It’s hard. I never thought it would be so difficult to announce it, to leave my country, France, the Ligue 1, but I think I needed this, a new challenge, after seven years,” Mbappe said in a social media video tonight.

“PSG allowed me to play with some of the best players in history, some of the greatest champions.”

Mbappe, who won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France and was top scorer as they reached the final in 2022, first joined PSG in 2017 on loan from Monaco and completed a permanent move in July 2018 for €180 million.

During his time at PSG, Mbappe has made 306 appearances, registering 255 goals and 108 assists and winning 14 trophies won.
