On Saturday, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo shared the exciting news that her grandson, Rakim Ayomide Mkambala, has received his Canadian passport.
The baby was born in Canada on August 24, 2025, to Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian musician Juma Jux.
Iyabo Ojo announced the news on her Instagram story, posting a video of red baby clothes with Canadian symbols next to a passport.
In a follow-up video, she exclaimed, “Guys, I’m excited. Grandma is excited because our cutest, finest, star boy, Prince Rakim Ayomide Mkambala, has collected his Canadian passport. Tanzania, are you ready? Asante!”
Rakim, whose parents manage his Instagram account @rakeem_mk, has already become a social media star, gaining more than 100,000 followers shortly after the account was created. The page, which has fans from both Nigeria and Tanzania, also shared a video celebrating his new Canadian citizenship.
This milestone follows the marriage of Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux earlier in 2025. The couple announced their pregnancy in July and celebrated with a gender reveal party. The Canadian passport solidifies the baby’s connection to his Nigerian, Tanzanian, and Canadian roots.
Celebrities and fans have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating this important moment for the family.
