THE senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has officially submitted her nomination forms at the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The submission of the forms signals the formal start of her campaign to retain her Senate seat, attracting supporters, political allies and party stakeholders to the PDP secretariat at Wadata Plaza.
Speaking after the submission, Natasha said her decision to seek another term was inspired by her commitment to continue delivering quality representation and development to the people of Kogi Central.
According to her, the re-election bid is focused on strengthening community development, empowering women and youths, and ensuring that democratic dividends reach all parts of the district.
“This journey is not about personal ambition alone, but about sustaining purposeful representation, empowering our youths and women, and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every community,” she said.
The lawmaker thanked constituents and PDP members for their continued trust and support, while reaffirming her commitment to improving infrastructure, healthcare, education and economic opportunities across the district.
She also pledged to continue advocating policies that would improve the welfare of Nigerians and promote inclusive governance.
“We have started a movement of hope, inclusion and progress. By the grace of God and the support of our people, we shall continue to build a future where every citizen feels represented and valued,” she added.
Natasha, known for her outspoken stance on governance and accountability issues, has remained one of the prominent voices in the National Assembly, especially on matters relating to social development and transparency.
Supporters present at the event described her as a resilient and people-focused leader, praising her accessibility and constituency development efforts in Kogi State.
A PDP chieftain at the gathering noted that her political journey continues to inspire women and young Nigerians to participate actively in politics and leadership.
