PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to commence tomorrow.

According to a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu landed at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport, where he was received by Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, alongside Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.

Several top government officials were also present to welcome the President, including Jumoke Oduwole, Mohammed Mohammed, Ibrahim Zanna and Sunday Dare.

Following his arrival, President Tinubu met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame at the Urugwiro Village for bilateral discussions focused on strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between both countries.

Established in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, the Africa CEO Forum is recognised as one of Africa’s largest annual gatherings of business leaders, policymakers and investors.

The forum is designed to promote regional integration, cross-border investment and economic transformation across the continent.

This year’s edition is themed, “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”

During the event, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a keynote address titled, “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will outline the impact and progress of his administration’s economic reforms.

The Nigerian leader is also scheduled to engage in high-level meetings with African and international business executives aimed at positioning Nigeria as a major investment destination while reinforcing the country’s commitment to regional economic cooperation.

The summit, which will hold from May 14 to 15 at the Kigali Convention Centre, is expected to attract over 2,000 participants, including chief executives, investors, policymakers and several African heads of state.

According to the Presidency, Tinubu will use the forum to reaffirm Nigeria’s dedication to African unity, strategic partnerships and sustainable private sector-led development across the continent.
