Mudashiru Obasa has emerged as the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Obasa, who is the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, secured the party’s ticket unopposed during the APC primary election held on Saturday across the 13 political wards in the constituency.
Party delegates and members unanimously endorsed him following his formal declaration of interest at a stakeholders’ meeting in Agege on May 13.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Obasa expressed gratitude to party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and residents of Agege for what he described as the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in him.
