Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello is sparking conversation after speaking openly about survival, self-worth, and personal growth during an interview on Morayo’s show.
Addressing young women, she pushed back against pressure to use their bodies or online validation as shortcuts to attention or success.
“The seeds that you sow matter. You don’t have to show your boobs to be sexy, and you don’t have to shake your bum to go viral,” she said.
She also acknowledged the economic struggles many people face, emphasising that she does not judge survival choices, but growth should remain the goal.
“If what you are doing now is being a runs girl to make money, you don’t have to stay there. I understand it, I never judge,” she stated.
While recognising that hardship can push people into difficult decisions, she emphasised the need to move forward and not remain stuck.
“If that’s what you have to do right now to make a living, feed your mum or send your siblings to school, fine, but don’t stay there,” she added.
