Popular Nigerian actor Stan Nze, who is happily married to his senior colleague, Blessing Obasi, has stated that he is capable of forgiving infidelity in a relationship, emphasising that genuine love is strong enough to uphold a union when founded on forgiveness, kindness, and selflessness.
During an interview, the proud father of one was asked whether love alone suffices to sustain a relationship. He replied, “Love is enough. Real love.” He clarified that he was not referring to fleeting emotions or physical attraction, but to the selfless love exemplified by Christ.
According to Stan Nze, true love is “the one that is selfless, the one that is kind, the one that forgives easily.” He observed that many relationships fail because people struggle to forgive, hold grudges, or avoid addressing issues.
When asked if cheating can be forgiven, the actor responded, “Absolutely.” He added, “Can I forgive cheating? Yes, I can forgive.”
However, he stressed that forgiveness should not be mistaken for tolerating repeated misconduct. Quoting a biblical principle, he said, “We shall not continue in sin that grace may abound,” adding that forgiveness is vital but “it’s not a license to be stupid.”
Stan Nze concluded that while love requires people to forgive those who hurt them, wisdom and accountability are also essential in maintaining healthy relationships.
