THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.

In a statement issued today, JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, said candidates who participated in the examination can now check their results through the Board’s designated platforms.

According to the Board, the release of the mop-up results marks the conclusion of the 2026 UTME examination cycle and signals the commencement of the admission process.

Benjamin stated that JAMB would begin ranking candidates following the successful completion of the mop-up exercise and the publication of the results.

He also disclosed that the printing of result slips required for admission processing is expected to begin before the end of the week.

The Board expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, and other stakeholders for their patience, cooperation, and support throughout the examination period.

JAMB conducted the mop-up examination on June 13, 2026, to accommodate candidates who were successfully verified during the main UTME but could not sit for the examination due to technical issues, biometric verification challenges, or other disruptions at their designated centres.

The main 2026 UTME was held in April, with more than two million candidates participating nationwide.

Following the release of the results, JAMB retained the minimum admission benchmark scores at 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics. The Board has also opened its portal for candidates seeking to change their course of study or preferred institution.
