LAZIO have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru from Hatayspor.
The Serie A club announced the deal today, noting that Dele-Bashiru joined on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.
“SS Lazio announces that it has acquired on a temporary basis with an obligation to buy the rights to the sporting performances of the footballer Oluwafisayo Faruq Dele-Bashiru from Atakaş Hatayspor FK,” the Italian club stated on their official website.
The England-born midfielder is expected to sign for Lazio until 2028 when his move is made permanent next year.
Dele-Bashiru, 23, scored nine goals and made six assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for Hatayspor last season, his first campaign in Turkey after joining on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday.
He began his career with Manchester City, playing for their U-18s and U-23s before joining Sheffield Wednesday in July 2020.
Dele-Bashiru scored his first goal for the Super Eagles last month in the 1-1 draw with South Africa in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
