KANO: Newly elected chairman of Bebeji dies

THE newly elected chairman of Bebeji Local Government Area in Kano State, Alhaji Ali Namadi, is dead.

Namadi died barely 48hours after he was announced as one of the winners of the local government councils elections, held on Saturday 16th January, 2021.

The Director Campaign to the deceased, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Tiga, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Kano.

Tiga noted that Namadi died about 1.00am today after a brief illness.

He explained that the late Chairman drove himself to Bebeji General Hospital for medical attention before he gave up the ghost.

Tiga disclosed that baring any last minute change, Namadi’s funeral prayers would take place in his hometown, Bebeji, on Tuesday morning.
