Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has waved away reports claiming his agent could be headed to Manchester United in exchange for Cristiano Ronaldo and a huge fee.

Reports earlier today in Italy and England claimed Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes was offering the 37-year-old to Napoli while working on a deal to get Super Eagles striker Osimhen to Manchester United.

Napoli were reportedly considering the offer and were open to letting the 23-year-old Nigeria international go if United could cough up €120m and release Ronaldo.

However, few hours later, Calenda took to social media to refute the reports, insisting that Osimhen was looking forward to playing in the UEFA Champions League this season with the Serie A club.

“No negotiations in progress, no swaps; Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player,” Calenda tweeted.

“He wants to play in the Champions League with Napoli after helping the club qualify on the pitch with pride together with the coach and his teammates.”

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020 for around €80m and has been their top scorer since his arrival.
