LIVERPOOL have released their away jersey for the 2023/2024 campaign, which bears remarkable resemblance to a former Super Eagles kit.
The new Nike jersey was released today, with the prominent colours being the green and white of Nigeria’s traditional home kits past and present. The Super Eagles are also incidentally kitted by Nike.
The Liverpool design is in four rectangles across the front, two each in green and white.
The kit was announced on Liverpool’s official website and social media channels, with players from the men’s and women’s teams modelling it.
Some of the launch models for the kit include captain Jordan Henderson, centre-back Virgil van Dijk and forward Luis Diaz.
The club will be hoping to have a better campaign in the new kit than last season, when they finished fifth in the Premier League and did not reach the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
The home kit was unveiled towards the end of last season during their last match at Anfield in May.
