I regret marrying Sunny Aku – Dabota Lawson speaks on her failed marriage to a billionaire

FORMER beauty queen and billionaire wife, Dabota Lawson, has opened up about how her parents reacted to her failed marriage with Prince Sunny Aku.

In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the mother of one revealed that her parents were happy to have her back after she left her husband of two years.

According to Dabota, her parents never approved of her marriage to the much older man, but they supported her decision because they wanted her to be happy.

She said, “My parents were happy to have me back. They never wanted me to marry him in the first place. They felt I was too young and didn’t know what I was doing. They supported me because they saw that I was determined to make it work. But when I came back, they were like, ‘Thank God you’re back. We told you so.’”

Dabota also confessed that she regretted marrying Prince Aku, whom she described as a “wonderful person” but who was not compatible with her.

She said, “I regret marrying him. Not because he’s a bad person, but because we were not compatible. We had different lifestyles, different expectations, and different goals. It was bound to fail.”

The former Miss Nigeria UK added that she has moved on from her past and is now focused on her daughter and her business.
