Forest, Istanbul Basaksehir agree loan deal for Emmanuel Dennis

EMMANUEL Dennis will be playing on loan in Turkey with Istanbul Basaksehir this season, according to reports.

The Super Eagles forward is out of favour at Nottingham Forest and has not been involved in any of the side’s four Premier League fixtures this season.

Reports in England last night claimed that the Nigeria international was on the verge of completing the loan move to the Turkish Super Lig side.

Indeed, Nottingham Forest and Istanbul Basaksehir have agreed a season-long loan deal without a buy option for 25-year-old Dennis, the reports claimed.

The former Club Brugge star is expected to travel to Istanbul today to undergo his medical and sign for Istanbul Basaksehir.

Dennis joined Forest in August last year for £14 million after an impressive season at Watford, who were relegated to the Championship.

He made 25 appearances for Forest in all competitions last season, 16 of them off the bench, and registered a palty two goals and three assists.

The former FC Cologne star is apparently no longer in Forest manager Steve Cooper’s plans even as his fellow Nigeria international Taiwo Awoniyi has thrived at the club.

The Turkish transfer window will close today, 14 days after most of Europe had their summer window shut.
