MATCH officials from Portugal will handle the friendly match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Mozambique scheduled for Monday in Portugal.
Miguel Nogueira will serve as the centre referee while his compatriots Paulo Bras, Ana Loide and Bruno Viera will act as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.
The match at the Estadio Municipal de Portimão next will be the fifth for both countries at senior level.
The Super Eagles defeated the Mambas 1-0 in a friendly in Maputo, before both teams then met in 2009 in the race qualifying series for the South Africa 2010 World Cup.
The first clash in Maputo ended 0-0, and in Abuja in October 2009, it was heading for the same goalless outcome before Obinna Nsofor headed home to deliver the three points for the Super Eagles. A draw in that match would have eliminated Nigeria from the race.
When both teams clashed in the group phase of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, the Super Eagles thrashed the Mambas 3-0 in Lubango.
Monday’s encounter in Portimao, Portugal will start at 4pm Portugal time (same time as in Nigeria).
The Nigeria Football Federation says the Super Eagles are expected to start arriving at their Penina Hotel and Resort, Portimao base today, and they will play the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia on Friday first.
