MANCHESTER United pair Harry Maguire and Erik ten Hag have swept the Premier League awards for November.

Maguire has been voted as the Player of the Month, while Ten Hag has won the Manager of the Month prize.

Former Manchester United captain Maguire wins the award after a remarkable return to form, as he has become a regular feature in Ten Hag’s starting line-ups.

The 30-year-old England centre-back played every minute in November as Manchester United won all three of their Premier League matches during the month without conceding a single goal.

Maguire made the joint-most blocks, fifth-most clearances, and won the second-most aerial duels in a dominant month for the centre-back.

Maguire is the first defender to win the award since Liverpool’s Joel Matip in February 2022.

Overall, he is the 15th defender in history to be voted the Premier League’s Player of the Month, and only the third from Manchester United, after Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

Maguire topped a six-man shortlist that included Manchester City pair Raheem Sterling and Jeremy Doku after votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.

On his part, Ten Hag led Manchester United to a 100 per cent winning record in November and they were the only team not to drop a point, earning victories in all three matches against Fulham, Luton Town and Everton.

They were also the only side to go the whole month without conceding a single goal.

It is the third time Dutchman Ten Hag has won the award, adding to his prizes from September 2022 and February 2023. Only Sir Alex Ferguson, with 27, has won it more times as Manchester United manager.

The Dutchman is one of 32 managers in Premier League history to win as many as three Barclays Manager of the Month awards.

Ten Hag beat three other managers to win the award, including Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, who incidentally takes his in-form side to Old Trafford tomorrow.
