SUPER Eagles of Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi was the most creative player in the English Premier League over the weekend even as his Fulham side lost on Saturday.
Fulham were beaten 2-1 by Wolves at Molineux, with Iwobi scoring his team’s only goal.
After a goalless first half, Rayan Ait-Nouri shot Wolves into the lead in the 52nd minute and Tom Cairney’s own goal doubled the hosts’ advantage 15 minutes later.
Iwobi pulled one back for Fulham in stoppage time to add to his late strike against Manchester United the previous weekend.
However, where the former Arsenal and Everton star stood out was in the creative department, where he outperformed every other player in the entire Premier League.
According to statistics outlet Whoscored, Iwobi created seven chances from open play against Wolves on Saturday, with no player creating more in a Premier League match this season.
Iwobi, 27, has registered five goals and one assist in 20 Premier League appearances this season.
