THE Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage delivered a report to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation today after completing its assignment.

The SGF’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Segun Imohiosen, confirmed this in a statement.

He stated that a formal presentation of the Report will be made to President Bola Tinubu for appropriate action when the leadership of the Organised Labour, as well as representatives from the Government and the Organised Private Sector, who are currently in Geneva, Switzerland for the ongoing International Labour Organisation (ILO) Conference, return to the country.

The SGF commended the Committee’s Chairman, Bukar Goni Aji, and its members for their dedication and sacrifice.

Tinubu established a 37-member Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in accordance with the provisions of the Minimum Wage Act of 2019.

The Committee was tasked with suggesting a new national minimum wage for Nigerian workers in both the public and private sector.
