SEVEN persons were saved from a collapsed two-story building at 12 Cameroun Street, off Ewenla in the Mushin area of Lagos State today.
According to a statement from Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), upon the arrival of the LRT at the site, it was revealed that the building in question was newly constructed.
The seven individuals rescued, comprising three females and four males, have been transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention at the time of this report.
LASEMA mentioned that its rescue team thoroughly searched the debris and confirmed that there were no victims trapped under the collapsed structure.
The agency also stated that the vicinity has been sealed off, as operations are still in progress in the area.
