NIGERIANS have been ranked fifth globally in social media usage for 2024
According to data from Cable.co.uk and We Are Social, shared yesterday by World of Statistics on X, Nigerians have been ranked fifth in the world for average daily time spent on social media.
On average, Nigerians spend 3 hours and 23 minutes each day on social media platforms.
Kenya tops the list, with its residents averaging 3 hours and 43 minutes daily on social media. South Africa follows closely behind with 3 hours and 37 minutes, while Brazil spends 3 hours and 34 minutes, and the Philippines logs 3 hours and 33 minutes.
Nigeria’s usage of 3 hours and 23 minutes places it just behind these countries in terms of social media engagement.
Other nations with significant social media usage include Colombia (3:22), Chile (3:11), and Indonesia (3:11). Saudi Arabia and Argentina complete the top ten with daily averages of 3 hours and 10 minutes and 3 hours and 8 minutes, respectively.
