THE Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) today held a meeting with domestic airline operators in Abuja following mounting concerns over frequent flight disruptions and recent clashes between passengers, airline staff, and operators.
According to sources within the Authority, the discussions focused on regulatory compliance and passenger welfare, addressing issues such as unruly passenger behaviour, proper handling protocols, delays in refunds and compensation, enforcement of in-flight phone switch-off rules, and enhanced protection for cabin crew.
The NCAA noted that customer complaints have risen sharply in recent months and urged airlines to strictly comply with existing regulations to ensure a safer and more reliable travel experience for passengers.
