PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu is set to visit Jos tomorrow following the deadly gunmen attack that claimed at least 28 lives.

The assault, which took place on Sunday in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government Area, also left several others injured, sparking fresh concerns over security in the region.

Originally scheduled to travel to Ogun State for the launch of operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport in Iperu, the President has now shifted his itinerary.

According to his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will instead visit Plateau State to sympathize with the government and residents affected by the tragic incident.

Following his visit to Plateau, the President is expected to proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday.

On Saturday, April 4, Tinubu will travel to Ogun State to commission the cargo airport and unveil two commercial aircraft aimed at enhancing import and export activities to support economic growth.

He is also scheduled to inaugurate a new facility for the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service, along with its operational vehicles.

The President will return to Lagos afterward to continue the Easter celebrations, during which he is expected to commission several infrastructure projects executed under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a multi-agency complex named in his honour, and a school complex.

Before heading back to Abuja, Tinubu will visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to inaugurate projects completed by Governor Douye Diri.
